It has been a very long time since I've updated. So short short version. Still working at MBS, have successfully settled into duplex (have hit yard sales aplenty to acquire enough shelves and furniture)and almost have everything where I want it. Life is good.

Last weekend was a very fun weekend for the dragon, she went to Naka-kon in KC. Highlights included a panel with Christopher Bevins and Talisen Jaffe who were the voice directors for Beck Mongolian Chop Squad. It is an awesome anime that if you haven't seen it, see it. Anime StL was a fun con, despite it's lack of panels (even sharing con time with ShowMeCon)but that's also partially the hotel's fault. They gave away rooms that had been reserved for people running panels and games, so when they got there and found out they had no room available they left ( Read more... )

Archon was a blast, I wish I could have had as enjoyable times every year I've attended. Fates, know I can't remember if this was my 6th or 7th Archon, but I'm hard pressed to remember one I had more fun at. ( Cut for fannish rambling and rambling in general )

Well for what it's worth I've succeeded in getting the pieces cut for a costume I'm trying to pull together. Nothing fancy, but since I did want to alter the original pattern I've got zero sewing skill this is a challenge to say the least.
